THE BILL DOBBINS FEMALE PHYSIQUE WEBZINE/GALLERY

A LETTER FROM ANNIE RIVIECCIO
TO THE MS. OLYMPIA ORGANIZERS
back

June 13, 2005

To those this may concern:

This letter is concerning the upcoming Ms. Olympia competition; please consider one woman bodybuilders' thoughts and concerns:

It is supremely disheartening and embarrassing to have had the Ms. Olympia finals relegated to an Expo side event and even more of a slap in the face having been replaced by the Muscle and Fitness Model Search. After all these years, I finally get to compete in the biggest show ever and now I actually feel a bit embarrassed about it. I have  tons of people here in Georgia that want to spend their money on airfare, hotels and tickets to the show just to come see me (not Ronnie Coleman) and they are going to go to an Expo hall to see me compete. I am embarrassed beyond words.

I've been a bodybuilder for nearly 20 years.  I spent 15 years competing in the NPC trying to make it to the IFBB professional ranks; I finally made it in 2003.  When I started out, I looked to your magazines and aspired to make it to the top.  Now that I've made it there it's being taken away.

Please reconsider your decision to make the top female bodybuilders in the world compete their finals at an expo hall.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Annie Rivieccio
