Artist Frank Frazetta is known not only for his heroic male illustrations for powerful characters like Tarzan and Conan, The Barbarian - but he also began creating images of powerful female physiques - even before the advent of bodybuilding for women that brought those physiques into actual being. The photos by physique photographer Bill Dobbins in this pictorial on woman bodybuilder Becky Rampey are an homage to Frazetta, and attempt to capture on film the impact of the erotic, muscular and sexy buff women warriors that appear in his illustrations.
